The Cardiology-Oncology Clinic sees cancer patients who are at risk of, or have experienced, cardiac toxicities from their cancer therapy.
Members of the Cardiology-Oncology Clinic team also see patients with cancer who already have heart disease or heart conditions that might limit possible cancer treatments.
Additionally, patients who require certain novel therapies which could have adverse effects on the heart may also be referred.
What to expect
Referrals to the Cardiology-Oncology Clinic are usually made by your oncologist. Once a referral is made, expect to be contacted by clinic staff with an appointment date and time.
During your appointment, you will meet with a cardiologist. You may also have an echocardiogram at this time.
Patient instructions
